Out on the Town

It's been a while since we all went out. We met the Coop's and Capps at Neighborhood Services in Uptown for Dinner. We love the food! My good friend's brother is the Executive Chef at one of the NHS locations and he cooked us up a fine meal!

After dinner, we got a little crazy and ventured next door to J. Blacks. We had a fantastic time; it was just like old times.....can't wait to do it again!

Game One

We had the Redman's and the Ray's over for a little BBQ and to watch game one of the World Series. I'm glad we were all able to make our schedules work this month to get together! There is nothing better than BBQ,cold beer and great company to share in this momentous occasion. Every Texas Rangers fan has been waiting their whole lives for this moment in time. Go Rangers!!!

This has to be the Best Costume Ever! Hands Down!

An Oldie But A Goodie

I am loving the monthly foodie group get-togethers! This month we had dinner on the patio at Patrizos in Highland Park. Loved the food, the atmosphere and the company was fabulous! We missed you TK!

S'NANGELO

We had such a wonderful time visiting Granny and Peepaw in San Angelo this past weekend. Austin was born in San Angelo and lived there for a few months before moving to Austin so it was so nice to see his old stompin grounds and look at pictures from his past.
Lauren and Colby made the road trip with us and we had a blast learning facts about San Angelo and having a few laughs along the way! We arrived late Friday evening (just before Peepaw's bed time) and just in time to grab a bite at Zentner's Daughter. Boy did we have some leftovers....

We enjoyed catching up with everyone and had a great time sharing old memories and stories from the past. The next morning, the boys had an early morning with a 7:30 tee time and the girls prepped for our fabulous lunch and got ready for an afternoon of shopping. Loved the antique shopping and we made a stop by the Sassy Fox. How fun! Uncle Jeff had his high school reunion the same weekend so we got to babysit the triplets (So fun!) while he and Tricia were getting their party on! Playing on the swing and getting ready for bed. We probably watched Frosty the Snowman and VeggieTales atleast 3 times! It never got old!

I love Granny's garden! She has been busy cleaning it out and planting bulbs and seeds to get ready for Spring.

We had a wonderful time and hope to visit again soon!

A Fair to Remember

This weekend we attended the Tech/BU game at Cotton Bowl Stadium at Fair Park. It was a close game...too close but Tech pulled out the W. We met up with a group of friends before the game and had a great time catching up and trying all the fair food. After some breakfast burritos and Fletchers Corndogs, we made our way into the stadium.

The game got a little intense before half time, so I had to break away from the Baylor crew (including my husband, BU Alum) during the 3rd QTR and go walk around the fair with the Tech crew. We walked 500 miles until we found the coveted fried cookie dough. A-mazing! It was so worth it!!!

After the Tech/BU game, we went to Top Golf to watch the Rangers game and squeeze in some dinner and golf.

And as if we had not had enough football for one day, our friends Matt and Shel had a hook up to get into the SMU game. After a tour of the equipment/locker room area, we ended up sideline no doubt and I got a free SMU t-shirt! What a fun evening and SMU won! Thanks Matt and Shel! We had a blast!

A Whirlwind Kind of Weekend

We had a non-stop weekend this past Friday-Monday. Once we were fininshed with one thing, we were on to the next without taking a breath!

Friday night we met the normal TX/OU clan at Primo's for dinner and slipped on over to the Quarter bar for some cocktails and games! Such a good time. Since we missed out on the Michael Jackson coverband last year, we convinced ourselves to go see an 80's coverband, Poision Cheery at the Wizzard. Yikes! This band was out of control and so were the patrons at the Wizzard.

Austin and I took out some frustration on the boxing glove. ;)

After that crazy night, we headed down to the TX/OU game at the fair. We met up with Austin's boss and wife and had a great time at the game, despite the loss. It was tragic!

We caught an early flight to Denver Sunday morning for our good friend, Dave's wedding. We checked into our hotel downtown and hit the patio scene at the Sports Column to watch some Sunday afternoon football and grab a bite to eat. We went back to our hotel to get ready and drove to Littleton for the wedding at The Manor House. It was a perfect outdoor wedding and the scenery was just gorgeous. They couldn't have planned it better!

The Manor House was stunning! It was neat to learn about all the history and catch up with friends at the wedding.

We took off from work on Monday and drove out to Boulder to check out the sights and each lunch before our flight back to the DFDub. Boulder was beautiful and we had a wonderful time exploring this great city!
