Happy Halloweenie!
We had such a great time celebrating Halloween this year! Tom loved every minute of it! He went to the pumpkin patch with my moms group, went on his first hay ride and dressed up as a banana for trunk or treat at the church!

Two Months Down
I still can't believe how fast time is flying by! Tom is a little over 2 months and it is almost breaking my heart how quickly he is growing up! He has been such a joy and blessing to have in our lives and each day brings a smile to our faces!
Tom had his 2 month check up and his 2 month vaccinations consisting of 3 shots in his little legs and one oral vaccine, which was pretty tough on mom. He was very brave and handled them well...I was surprised! He is in the 50th percentile for height and weight and is growing right on track. He weighs 11lbs, 10oz. and is 23 inches long. He is wearing size 3 months clothes...growing and changing everyday! Speaking of changes.....he also has a new nickname. We decided we can't call him by his utero name anymore which was Tron....Now he is our little Tater! Love me some Tater!
Tom has hit a few milestones which have been so neat to witness. He loves to smile and is trying to talk to us, which is adorable. Austin talks to Tom and says "Oh yeah" and always gets a smile and giggle from him. He is getting pretty good at holding his head up on his own and he is very observant of everything around him. He is also starting to grab objects and is holding on for dear life....like mommy's hair! Ouch! He loves to chew on his hands....hope he is not teething already...and he has become a drooling machine. I will probably keep him in a bib for life or atleast until his drooling is under control...j/k. He is sleeping better as far as not getting his days and nights mixed up, but is still waking up every 3 - 3.5 hours to eat. He is eating anywhere from 3.5- 5 oz of milk at each feeding.
Tom has been really great when it comes to running errands. He loves to change his environment and get out of the house. He has been just about everywhere with me...and luckily he is a great shopping buddy as he just sleeps through it all! He has been on many play dates this past month with all his new friends! We are still waiting for a few of his friends to make their debut. We had so many of our friends become pregnant at the same time....i think we counted 12 new babies!! Blogging
Sometimes I wish I had the time, passion and skill set to make my blog look more professional or look like I took the time to do something with it other than just give my family and friends updates and pictures. I attended a junior league meeting last night and the guest speaker was Rebecca Sherman, who is an accomplished free lance writer, and helped to launch publications like, Paper City, Luxe Magazine, and was the Editor and Chief of D Home Magazine. She really inspired me to put more effort into my blog. Now whether I will have the time and energy to follow through with updating and redesigning it is another thing. I think I was more inspired by what she blogs about (interior design) vs. the design of her blog. If you like interior design you should definitely check out her blog.

1 Month!!
It is hard to believe that we have a 1 month old. Time is really flying by! Tom is growing and changing right before our very eyes. He really is the sweetest baby. We have had a very busy month of traveling to Austin to visit our families and introducing them to Tom. Tom has loved all the attention from his aunties, uncles, cousins and grandparents.
Right now Tom is eating every 3 - 4 hours, which is ok with me since he is becoming more predictable. We can usually figure out what he needs depending on the time of day. He loves tummy time and loves to observe everything. I don't think anything gets by this guy. He hates to have a dirty diaper ( i mean the wheels come off when this happens). He just started smiling at us on purpose which has been amazing! He really likes to do FaceTime with his Aunt Julie, Grandmom Lynn and Granddaddy. He can actually see them when they talk to him. It is pretty cool!

He's Here!
Well, he has been here for almost two weeks but I am just now getting around to blog about him due to lack of sleep and being a new mom. We welcomed Thomas Hall Trantham on August 3rd at 11:25pm. We are so thrilled to get to know this little guy and are excited that we have entered the world of parenting. Here we go!!! Tom really is the sweetest baby ever! He sleeps all day and is pulling all nighters, but we know a routine will come with time.

Ready to pop...
We went to the doctor and got to see Baby T. He weighs 7lbs 3oz. I am loving this technology! I cant tell who he looks like but he is a little chunk! And dont mind that piece of placenta in the way....

36 Weeks
How far along: 36 Weeks
Size of the baby: Stalk of Swiss Chard - 6lbs, 19in
Maternity Clothes: So over it! I just started buying some close for my post baby body.
Cravings: Anything cold...ice cream, snow cones, popsicles...you get the idea. It's HOT!
Symptoms: Swelling
Movement: Still some movement but not as much. There is no room to move.
Name This Baby: We've narrowed it down but want to wait until we meet the little guy to make a final decision.
Update: I start my weekly Dr. appts this week and will get to see the little guy in 2 weeks! Cannot wait to see how big he is and who he looks like. The nursery is almost done! Just waiting on a few decor items to be delivered. Will post pictures soon! We are counting down the days until we meet Baby T. I think we have almost everything finished, just washing clothes, blankets, etc.... Maureen - Thank you so much for everything. All the outfits are adorable and just perfect! My mom came and stayed with us this past week and it was so good to have her here to help with the final things. It wont be long now!

Belly Business - 33 Weeks
How far along: 33+ weeks
Size of the baby: Pineapple 4lbs, 17 in
Maternity Clothes: Ready to be done with these and get back in shape!
Cravings: Meat...It's a good thing Austin has been using the smoker lately! Baby T. has filled up on a lot of protein.
Symptoms: Still working on getting a solid night of sleep. I got my hair done on Saturday and fell asleep in the chair!
Movement: I am definitely starting to notice some of Baby T.'s body parts...feet, elbows, knees, bottom.
Gender predictions: This section should be called Name This Baby. We are narrowing it down, but I want to start ordering some items with his name on it so we better decide soon!
We are almost finished with the nursery. Austin has been busy moving furniture around and putting all the baby equipment together. He has done a great job!

Our little guy already has his first little hunting chair from Cabelas. Multi-use of course!

The Valentine's
We had so much fun at the Valentine wedding this weekend at the Dallas Arboretum! It was so fun to see all of the Theta ladies and catch up and of course dance the night away...Although, I think we don't party quite like we used to, but we tried our best! I completely forgot to bring the camera in for most of the wedding festivities! Hopefully will add more photos soon!
The beautiful bride and me getting ready in the suite at the Magnolia hotel. Katie looked absolutely stunning! Me - barefoot and preggo. I waited until the last possible minute to put on my shoes...

Maternity Clothes: Ready to be done with these and get back in shape!
Cravings: I really dont have too much of an appetite these days. I don't think I have a whole lot of room to work with...
Symptoms: Getting a good night's rest is definitely a thing of the past. We have evolved to sleepless nights of tossing and turning and half-sleep walking to the bathroom. Other than lack of sleep, I am feeling pretty great!
Movement: Love that feeling when the babe has hiccups and it has been fun to watch him roll from one side of my body to the other. Like a wave....my stomach has a mind of its own.

Size of the baby: Bag of flour 2.5lbs, 15 in
Maternity Clothes: Maternity swim suits are cool.
Cravings: Craving margaritas...not sure if it is the awesome patio weather or what....
Symptoms: Acid reflux has been fun, never had it before. Discomfort while sleeping, which is making for some long, long days at work and I'm getting around a little slower these days.
Movement: The kicks and punches have some power behind them now. Look out!
Gender predictions: Still working on a name. Austin loves joking around with people about the name to see what their reaction is....right now he is stuck on Mitch. We have gotten some great feedback about this one! Hahaha!

Babymooning
We had a wonderful time this past weekend in South Padre celebrating Stephen and Diana's wedding. We also threw our "Babymoon" into the wedding mix and stayed a couple more days to enjoy the beach! It is surreal to know that our last little vacay together has passed and I can't travel anymore. But we are so ready for the babe to get here! And Hello Third Trimester!
We arrived midday Thursday and hit the pool to catch some sun before heading out for dinner at the Palm Street Pier Bar and Grill overlooking the ocean. Then walked over to Louies for some drinks and dancing.
Since we have been going non-stop lately with work and life, we decided to get a couples massage on Friday morning. This was Austin's first massage and he really enjoyed it! It was my first prenatal massage and I realized just how bad I was missing out by not have getting one sooner!
After a little relaxation, we met the crew by the pool and had a great time. This body needed some serious Vitamin D.
Later that evening we went to the rehearsal dinner at Louies and partied the night away! Spring Break 2011. Seriously, I havent stayed up that late in a long time... We even went on a little booze cruise after dinner and saw the sights of Laguna Madre. It was beautiful! Just what we needed to escape the hustle and bustle of Dallas. The groom organized two parts to the booze cruise. The first part was relaxing at sunset and the music was all country and oldies since we had some older folks on the boat with us. We re-docked at 11pm just in time to find out that the Mavs won! Then we departed for round 2 of the cruise and I couldn't have prepared myself for what was to come. I have never laughed so hard in my life. We all have some great stories to share from that evening and we ended up back at Louies after the cruise.
Saturday morning we enjoyed some more pool/beach time as if we couldn't get enough! Later that evening we walked down to the beach for the ceremony and it was an amazing view. The bride and groom looked beautiful. After the ceremony we were greeted by a Mariachi Band and had cocktails on the patio and then went to the reception which was beautiful!
What a great weekend!!! Congrats to the Ratliffs!!

We are loving this adorable onesie from Auntie Lauren. Austin decided this will be an outfit we take to Austin because it is funky and chill...it has that Keep Austin Weird feel that we love! Thanks Lauren!

Belly Business - 26 Weeks

Size of the baby: Eggplant, 2.2lbs - 12inches
Maternity Clothes: I need to find some cute dresses for Summer to beat the heat!
Cravings: Nothing Crazy...just have a pretty good appetite.
Symptoms: Still feeling pretty awesome and I am beginning to see the inside of my belly button as it is starting to poke out...
Movement: The boy is on a pretty serious schedule. I feel some powerful kicks around 7:30am, 10:30am, 12:30pm, 3:30pm, 7:30pm and 9:30pm. Who knows if he is up in the middle of the night. Luckily, I have been able to enjoy sleeping through the night for the moment.
Gender predictions: Boy - We still have not decided on a name for this kid....

The Shuuggs
I have seriously dreaded the gestational diabetes test since I found out I was preggo. I know a lot of my friends have gone through it and it was no big deal, but I have heard several complaints from friends about failing this test and having to repeat it or even worse, having to go on a diet of no sugars!!! No bueno. All you have to do is drink an orangey, sugary drink (most of yall know how I feel about oranges and orange flavor in general...not good). It made me feel sick to my stomach. Then, get your blood drawn and then find out if you have gestational diabetes. If you pass the test, no worries you are good to go. If you dont pass, you have to perform the test all over again and then have your blood drawn every hour for 3 hours. Yikes!
I was a little worried about this due to my love for sugar and the fact that the women in my family love sugar. But if my grandmom didn't have it with her ice cream habit during pregnancy, and my mom didn't have it with her iced animal cookie habit, then I figured that I didnt have anything to worry about with all of my habits...cupcakes, icecream, cookies, etc.....Well, I passed the test and my iron levels are excellent. What a relief. RIP Orange drink!
On a side note, I was telling a friend the other day how bad my sugar/sweets cravings were and she suggested freezing capri suns and eating them like popsicles. I definiely cannot wait to try this!

Childbirth 101, Not For the Weak
Austin and I had our first childbirth class this past weekend and we learned all we needed to know and more....TMI anyone? I've heard this 7 hour class can be pretty intense...but somehow we survived. ;)
Austin and I have known eachother for a few years now and can read eachother's facial expressions as if we are having a normal conversation. Sometimes it is the best thing ever because we know eachother's moods and thoughts without saying anything and other times, I wish we didnt know eachother so well. It's hard to put on a poker face!
Well, needless to say, we had many conversations during our childbirth class...some were hilarious, some were shocking and others were the realization that we are really going to have a baby! I am not sure why we both still have yet to truly realize this fact that we will be going through all the motions in a matter of a months but we do.
Overall, it was very educational for both of us and we are so excited and ready to meet our little guy!

Dirk Alert - Playoff Style
Our friends, Rachel and Aaron, invited us out to the Mavs play off game on Saturday. We had so much fun! We had dinner downtown at Medina Oven and Bar which served great Mediterranean food and tapas. Rachel is pregnant as well so we really enjoyed catching up on all the pregnancy topics and planning for the future.
I am honestly not really a Mavs fan but I enjoy going to the games because I like people watching, celebrity sightings, I know the dirt and gossip on some of the players so I feel like I am part of the action and I like Dirk because he has a little spunk and is fun to watch. Austin actually likes the Mavs.
I'm sure the boys questioned bringing their pregnant wives to a Mavs playoff game instead of having a boys night out, but we are so glad they invited us to tag along and they didn't want to miss out on having a designated driver. Party!
